Salt is necessary to life. Too much salt can cause assorted health problems. Although I am not worried about getting too much salt given our family’s health, we really don’t like salty foods. So, when I use someone else’s recipes I halve the salt. Rarely do I need more than that. If you are used to saltier foods, make these recipes and if you think they need more salt, then add it until it tastes good to you. I currently use Himalayan Salt because of the extra minerals. However, I doubt there will be much difference in taste if you use your favorite salt.
